OrCam MyEye 2 for the Blind & Visually Impaired
OrCam's MyEye 2 is a wearable for the blind and visually impaired. Comprised of a lightweight smart camera that attaches to glasses frames, and embedded AI technology, MyEye can read printed and digital text aloud from any surface, plus recognize faces and identify products, cash money denominations, etc. The device also sees without the help of the internet - no connection is required during use.
OrCam MyEye can assist people with macular degeneration, glaucoma, reading fatigue, and dyslexia and other related learning disabilities. If eyesight is fine, but you could really use a gadget to relieve you from the burden of looking up from your phone to read signs and menus, greet people, and pick out bags of chips at the store, OrCam MyEye has your back too.
OrCam MyEye activates via simple hand gestures, or one of its 20+ voice-activated commands. While it is suitable for all ages and types of vision impairment, wearers do need to have sufficient hearing to receive audio information from OrCam MyEye, and must have full control over their head and hand movements.
