The Brain Bulb
It's not often that literal interpretations are as supremely cool as their figurative counterparts. But in the case of the Brain Bulb, the visual execution of a Eureka! moment--of the idea-impregnated light bulb going off inside one's head--is as grand and powerful as the expression itself. Its circuitous philosophical implications of the cranial light bulb that suddenly flickers on representing an actual, functional cranial light bulb that, in turn, both references and physically demonstrates the power of the mind, is pretty rad too. Maria and Igor Solovyov, industrial designers out of Minsk, Belarus, created the Brain Bulb (well, they call it "Insight", but we're suckers for kitschy alliteration) as a concept product, though they hope to see its manufacture at some point during the course of 2012.
