I don't have a NOCO Boost X Portable Jump Starter, but I do have a different portable jump starter - a much cheaper, albeit less powerful one, by the way - and I gotta say, it has saved my negligent ass at least, like, 8 or 9 times over the past 5 years.
Now, it's not entirely my fault I've needed to jump start my car that much. Its stupid manufacturers decided an almost-touchscreen-style dome light was a good design idea, so anytime I lug my gym bag or some groceries from the passenger to the driver seat to exit the car, I run the risk of bumping and turning it on. Where it remains lit for long enough to drain the car battery down to not even being able to open the door with the keyless entry feature.
My portable jump starter has gotten the car going again every single time. And I haven't even electrocuted myself using it!
And compared to the one I have, this version of the portable jump starter from NOCO is a behemoth. It has a massive 4250-amp rating suitable for starting 12V batteries in all different types of vehicles with up to 10L gas and 8L diesel engines. In addition to cars, you can use it on motorcycles, trucks, ATVs, boats, RVs, SUVs, vans, and tractors.
The Boost X has a 60W USB-C ultra-fast charger, so if it happens to be dead itself, you'll need just 5 minutes of charging to give it enough juice to transfer to your dead vehicle. You can also use the battery pack to power other devices, such as phones, laptops, tablets, and wearables. A great gift for the garage.
