This Wooden Robotic Hand has fun Halloween project, and even funner way to eat snacks and irritate my in-laws when they force us over for Sunday's NFL season openers, laser cut all over it. I wonder how much popcorn I could scoop up with a giant skeletal hand made of birch plywood.

Probably about 3 times more than I can get in my mouth before dropping or having it fall through the cracks all over their carpet. Heh, heh, heh. Tip of the day on how not to get invited back somewhere: show up with a DIY robot arm with limited functionality, and just start grabbing shit.

The Wooden Robotic Hand Kit is another project Wood Trick has up its sleeve. Most of their 3D wood models are geared towards kids as tablet and video game alternatives that will promote their "comprehensive brain development." The Robotic Arm is recommended for ages 14 and up, but will probably serve the "and ups" just as well, if not better, than the teens who are more interested in posting challenge vids on Instagram and playing Call of Duty. But you. Think of the fun you'd have whipping out a Wooden Robotic Hand to assist with a presentation at work! Or to assist with tickle time in the bedroom!

When put together right - just the 199 pieces of wood and rubber bands required - the Wood Trick Robotic has fully-articulated fingers that can perform tasks such as hand shakes, high fives and fist bumps, and gripping items like remote controls and bouquets of flowers for your mama.
