They say you should keep the Maglev world away from USB keys, media players, and computers. I'd say the same goes for our Earth world and many, many...many of the people living in it. In the Maglev's case, it's because the desktop-display-ready globe achieves its nifty floating effect through an electromagnetic, computerized sensor, which could compromise other tech's functionality. (I'll leave it up to you to decide what I mean about the floating globe we live on.)
The black lacquered Maglev Globe hovers over and under an equally black lacquered c-shaped frame containing the levitation sensor. LEDs built into the frame's interior curve provide illumination and add to the globe's sexy NASA nightclub effect.
