It's not that the CrunchCup thinks cereal and milk don't mix well, the purveyor of portable breakfast just thinks they don't mix well on-the-go. Via a pair of nested, isolated cups with their own openings, the CrunchCup lets your bowls of cereal go anywhere you do, keeping the milk and grains sealed and separated until you're ready to eat. At which point you'll tip the CrunchCup to your lips and feel your cereal mix as you much, so the last sip-bite tastes as fresh and crunchy as the first.
It's not a bad idea, making cereal a viable to-go, plus on-the-go option by locking it up in a cup and preventing it from meeting its milk before the two hit your mouth. But how does the transition work? Are the cereal-to-milk ratios even, or do you end up flooding your face with milk trying to knock loose some stuck Froot Loops? Or do you get too many Froot Loops during one pass of the CrunchCup, and end up sucking some down without chewing? I mean, I love showing off my slick new gear at my desk and on the bus, but when the demo ends with me needing the Heimlich, I sometimes question whether the purchase was worth it.
At printing, the CrunchCup was available only for pre-order, though the website indicates shipping should begin in Summer 2019. The dual-chambered tumbler is made of shatterproof Tritan and is dishwasher-safe.
