Sure, you've seen robotic vacuums before. Those that say they'll keep your rooms free of dust, dirt, and the most evil of all floor debris evils, pet hair, while you lounge comfortably on the couch. Or cook dinner. Or go to work. Neato's Botvac says about the same. But the company's latest version of their automatic cleaner also gives you the ability to call out commands and keep watch over your vacuum from anywhere--in your home or outside of it.
The Neato app syncs with the Botvac machine to enable starting, scheduling, or monitoring your vacuum from wherever you are. You can use your smartphone as a remote control and direct the vacuum on your desired path, or rely on Neato's LaserSmart mapping and navigation, a feature that scans and maps the room the Bot is in, detecting objects in real-time, and methodically cleaning open floor areas instead of just bumping around.
Neato Botvacs have a D-shape design and brush that is 50% larger than round robots' so they can clean within 14mm of walls deeper into corners. When their Li-Ion batteries are running low the vacuums return to their charge bases on their own for re-juicing, and then automatically go back to the area they left to resume cleaning.
