SwiftPaws challenges pups with the zoomies, plus pups who didn't know they still had the zoomies in them, to meet their match: a Capture the Flag game for dogs.
SwiftPaws gives dogs the exercise they need, and their hoomans the sedentary lifestyle they crave, with a portable network of field pulleys and a "driving" machine that zip a line-tied flag around their path. The path is up to you - you can set up SwiftPaws in any configuration, and covering as much ground as you want. Use it in the big ol' park down the street, your modest backyard, or even your tiny living room.
Once laid out, you (hooman) also control the speed and direction of the flag with a remote control, and each SwiftPaws sessions last for 2 minutes. For this reason, SwiftPaws says their doggie gaming system is appropriate for pets of all ages, breeds, and sizes. And, since you're physical involvement with the capture the flag process is minimal once setup is complete, SwiftPaws is also appropriate for pet owners of all ages, breeds, and sizes.
SwiftPaws flags, or lures, are made from plastic bags. Kits come with a set of reusable ones, but you can also make your own replacements with any fabric, strips of faux fur, or feathers. The SwiftPaws driving machine is powered by a rechargeable battery, and both it and the pulleys are secured to the ground with tent-style anchors. If you want to set up your capture the flag game inside, SwiftPaws recommends using weights as anchors.
SwiftPaws has been available as a commercial product for several years, but this is the company's first foray into selling it to consumers. They're running the system as a Kickstarter campaign through May 10, 2018, so if you want a mechanical capture the flag set for your doggo, click here to make a pledge.
