Having noticed a sharp increase in dudes changing diapers in public and carrying their kids around like marsupials, Mission Critical decided it was time to inject some testosterone into these 21st century fatherly pursuits. Time to put the "Man" back in "Mr. Mom." Time to develop some child rearing gear that isn't pink polka-dotted or embroidered with fuzzy bunnies. In 2013, the company debuted the fruits of their labor, a line of 4 military-style bags catering especially to men put in charge of the fruits of their wife's (or girlfriend's/daughter's/sister's/pushy lady from the 4th floor's) labor.

The Mission Critical Baby Carrier is a front loader compatible with both in-facing and out-facing babies. In addition to the removable/washable liner and hidden hood common to many hands-free child transporters, Mission Critical's issue has MOLLE straps for customization and YKK zippers. It is made of 1000D nylon and meets ASTM regulations for baby carriers, with capacity for juniors weighing between 8 and 35 pounds. The carrier itself weighs 36.5 ounces.

Ready to put the Carrier's MOLLE system to use? The Carrier Daypack is a 20-liter backpack custom designed for direct MOLLE attachment to the Mission Critical Baby Carrier. (It can also ride solo using its stowable shoulder straps.) Daypacks give Dads quick access to a changing pad on the side, plus have a large compartment for storage of extra diapers, wipes, changes of clothes, snacks, noise-canceling headphones, and Xanax. Used in combination with the Baby Carrier, the Carrier Daypack helps distribute Dad's front-back load and makes it easier to stand up straight. It too is made of 1000D nylon fabric.
