Goal Zero's Sherpa 50 Solar Recharging Kit consists of a Sherpa 50 lithium battery power pack and a Nomad 13 solar panel. Depending on weather conditions, it charges fully from solar power in 5 to 10 hours, or from man's harnessing of electricity, i.e., a wall plug, in 2 to 3 hours. Juiced up it can transfer 1 to 3 hours of power to laptops, MP3 players, cell phones, digital cameras, e-readers, and personal gaming consoles.
A full charge on the Sherpa 50 will deliver:
- 15+ recharges of an MP3 player
- 7 recharges of a smartphone
- 2 recharges of tablets
- 1 laptop recharge
The recharging kit also includes a 110-volt bolt-on inverter to convert its battery into a wall plug for use as a power source for devices accepting AC power.
