Is it sun-blazin', mosquito-laden, river-floatin', mountain-bikin', pop-a-tent-in-the woods season yet? Segue from winter into the months of the year that don't make people want to jump off highway overpasses with the terrifically industrious Bikamper, a one-person bike tent from Topeak. Designed for use with 26" mountain or 700C road bikes, one end of the Bikamper attaches to the saddle of your bicycle, eliminating the need for tedious tent poles, and the other end is drawn taut into a canopy via the insertion of the bike's removed front wheel. The configuration makes for both a compact and tidy sleeping arrangement, as well as a surefire way to receive instant notification if someone is trying to swipe your ride.
Tents are made of water-resistant, urethane-coated 45D ripstop nylon, and include three mesh panels, plus a right side door, for those needing a little cross-ventilation after a campfire dinner of canned wieners and beans. The Bikamper fly is constructed of fully waterproofed 70D ripstop nylon. Erected tent floor space measures 78.7" x 35.4". Both tent and fly pack down into a 10.5" x 5.5" stuff sack that straps to your handlebars, and weighs in at only 3.59 pounds.
The Bikamper package also includes the stuff sack, front fork anchor, stakes, cords, and an accessory bag.
