Israeli Bullet Rings
Where on earth are there enough spent bullets lying around to support the production of an entire line of jewelry? Detroit? St. Louis? Probably, but now where on earth does the local population also have the artistic vision to turn purveyors of violence and bloodshed into symbols of elegance and beauty? Remember: Detroit is responsible for the minivan, and St. Louisans' greatest achievements are Bud Light and deep fried ravioli. So nowhere 'round these parts, that's fo' sho'. Bezalel Academy of Art and Design grad Adi Zaffran collects her bullets at a firing range in Israel, and joins them with sterling silver bands to...you know you're waiting for it...make love, not war. Each ring is unique, handcrafted, and 18mm in diameter (US ring size 7.5).
