Fur-Lined Winter Slipper Boots
I saw a dude wearing a pair of these furry slipper boots at the coffee shop yesterday morning, and since it was one of the first mornings of what will become many months of temperatures that do not please me, I became a little jealous that he was wearing such cozy-looking house shoe / sneaker / snow boot hybrids out and about while I was stuck in squeaky new leather boots cutting off the circulation in my toes that my wife said make me look more like a functional human being.
I couldn't figure out who made them, seeing only a big "F" emblem on the top - Frye? F Yeah These Slipper Shoes Are the Shit? - but figured they cost in the $70 to $80 range like Teva's Ember Mocs. Overcoming my desire not to interact with people I don't know, I finally asked him what kind they were and he was like, "Oh, uh, I don't know really. I got them off Amazon. I think I just looked up snow slippers or mountain moccasins or something."
This was great news! As the king of looking up things on Amazon, I was able to find them in less than 30 seconds with the search phrase "men's slipper shoes F!" And they're pretty cheap. Also one of several "brands" of the same fur-lined, anti-slip indoor / outdoor shoes imported from China. But oh well. I've seen them in person and they look solid.
This particular listing for the "F" line includes unisex shoes in a "bootie" cut - other sellers have versions that hit both lower and higher on the ankle. The interiors are fully lined with fake fur, and the outers have non-slip soles and water-resistant uppers.
