Gastro Obscura continues the epic and offbeat travel book series that began in 2016 with Atlas Obscura. In their latest Food Adventurer's Guide, authors Cecily Wong and Dylan Thuras home in on what is, in my opinion, the best part of traveling: eating and drinking 'round the world!
Like its predecessors, Gastro Obscura explores all 7 continents, this time focusing on the native ingredients, prepared delicacies, unique culinary techniques, and cultural festivals and eating experiences they hold. Some examples include:
