A Game of Thrones Catan

This GoT edition of the popular Settlers of Catan board game has been out for over a year, but perhaps a year ago you weren't so keen on playing. Perhaps you were like me, and just wanted to forget about how many long months you still had before winter finally F'ing came. But now, now!, we're just a few short weeks away from winter and Season 8 of Game of Thrones, so it's the perfect time to amp up for the show's finale with some solid goods and diversions that pay tribute to it.
In A Game of Thrones Catan: Brotherhood of the Watch players (strangely) race to take the Black, and become Lord Commander of the Night's Watch. You'll still aim for being the first to get 10 victory points, building roads, settlements, and keeps along the way using resource cards for lumber, brick, wool, grain, and ore.
In the Game of Thrones edition, you'll also need to recruit guards for your patrol and defend the Realm from Wildling raiders. The board comes with 3 dice, so on each roll 2 will indicate the resources players can collect, while the 3rd tells which Wildings get to advance toward the Wall.
You can earn points toward victory either by improving the infrastructure of the Gift (area south of the Wall) to keep it safe, or by collecting enough Development cards to allow you to try most valiantly to defend the Gift if it falls.
